Below are selected design and art works
The project is set in a time that has not yet arrived, in a culture burdened by protracted war. It takes place in the neutral, black-market-run Northern Zone, a densely populated, man-made bee hive clinging to a conglomeration of obsolete oil platforms and industrial refineries perched in international waters. Visitors to the Northern Zone find entertainment at a notorious venue, Café Oublié, “where everyone is free to forget”. Café Oublié takes its impetus from the ancient Greek myth of Apollo and Daphne, a tale of love, transformation, and loss.
Prometheus Bound is a timeless story about privilege and sacrifice, action and consequence. Antiquity in dialogue with the 21st C.
Much of the action, and all of it for Prometheus, takes place on a 30' wheel where he 'moves' without moving. For the costumes, I use shapes worn by men and women in various spiritual or religious practices- robes, drapery, garments that we recognize as timeless.
Dry Cleaning is a reinterpretation of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth projected through the lens of international espionage, encrypted correspondence and disguise.
Orpheus has a coded exchange with Money Penny. He must travel undetected to Hades to find Eurydice.
Dry Cleaning is a lingo used in espionage which refers to actions agents take to determine if they are under surveillance. Framed in the context of modern international espionage, Orpheus is charged with retrieving Eurydice who has been taken against her will to reside with Hades in the underground.
The design for this production was created by a series of projected images on moving panels- the 2 actors played all the characters on screen and live simultaneously.
King Lear was performed by an all female cast. There was never an intention to hide the fact that the entire cast was female. In fact the image of women posing as men served to heighten the physical, emotional and spiritual qualities of gender roles and helped bring to the surface the presence of male domination in King Lear.
The Treatment, an adaptation of Chekov's Ward 6, where the complacent Dr. Ragin befriends a philosophizing madman. As his worldview is upended, society's answer is to make him a patient in his own ward. All of the actors assume multiple characters achieved through a collage of partial suits and 1/2 garments which ultimately add to the perceived insanity.
a new play by Joanne Murray-Smith based on the life of author Patricia Highsmith. In this 2 character play, Pat confronts her demons through the eyes of her most beloved character, Tom Ripley

the Tin Box Cards is a mysterious deck of ancient cards which surfaced in 2012. They appear to be a simple trading card game about a not so simple group of tenuously connected characters who are in a race against time and space to solve an impending universal crisis.
A selection of the found cards are visible here. A total of 150 cards were uncovered. We have published 53 cards which are currently in circulation and can be purchased and/or traded at organized trading events and /or purchased individually online.
